Part archive, part oral history, part cultural mixtape, The Pit Files is a love letter to the Latin alternative music scene in Los Angeles—an evolving collection of photos, videos, ephemera, and lived experiences that center underrepresented voices and cultural memory.

The series unfolds on YouTube, blending personal archives, historical context, and conversations that bridge generations.

Rooted in curiosity and care, The Pit Files is also an experiment—a living archive, open-ended and evolving. Fluid, unfinished, and unfolding, it’s a space where stories grow as they’re shared, remembered, and reimagined together.

The Pit Files was started by Lili, an intentionally curious storyteller rooted in Los Angeles. Her work centers community, memory, and cultural care—grounded in integrity, co-creation, mutual respect, and the spirit of experimentation.
She follows the stories, letting them unfold in their own rhythm and time.

Oh—and yes, you might remember her as Lili in the Pit.
